Column: Lawyers Can’t Rescue a Weak Case | Valley News

Column: Lawyers Can’t Rescue a Weak Case | Valley News

My op-ed in the Valley News this morning. In appeals court, Vermont lawyers tried to make the case that Vermont has "economic" reasons to shut Vermont Yankee.

Actually, of course, Vermont Yankee is a major economic asset to the state of Vermont. Vermont has no economic reason to close it.

As the title says: "Lawyers can't rescue a weak case."

Great article & Title. If we played finish the sentence, I might try like this...unless someone else is paying. Would a lawyer bet their house on this argument? Either way, taxpayers must pay for this exercise. My haiku: Lawyering, back and forth they go,poor folks suffer, property all gone.

The comment by Mr. Charles posed an issue for me. Since it includes a link to "family law lawyers" I was going to mark it as "spam" and delete it. However, perhaps Mr. Charles would think I delete negative comments. So I put it in.

This comment posting is an exception. Comments with totally irrelevant links are deleted as spam, and perhaps that is what I should have done with this one.
